In this first episode we’re talking about hopelessness and weight loss. Why we give up is a huge topic so we’ll cover all aspects of this in future episodes. But in this episode I wanted to give an overall view of hopelessness and talk a little bit about how we can get out of that hopeless place and what to do when we keep finding ourselves back there. 

I think that for anyone who's tried to lose weight, that hopelessness is what kicks in right before we give up every single time, and it's one of the biggest reasons that we give up because if we can't see it working and we've lost all hope of achieving our goal, then why should we keep doing what we're doing? 

That lack of belief in ourselves that kicks in at that point is just one of the things that we have to learn to change our mindset around so that we can push through, see it coming, recognise it, acknowledge it and know what to do about it, then move on.
